About us

Bringing sector leaders together to shape affordable housing in our region.

The largest annual event for housing professionals in our county.

The Hertfordshire Housing Conference promotes the development of high-quality affordable housing across Hertfordshire.

With a 20-year history of bringing like-minded people together, the conference offers a unique opportunity for you to hear about what’s happening in our region and catch up with the faces behind the emails.

Join 100 housing sector peers from our region.

You will hear directly from sector leaders on the latest insights and trends, but at this event you will discuss as much as you listen. Our agenda always leaves space for networking, workshops and informed debate.

An event with a 25-year history, our most recent events in 2022 and 2023 have been welcomed by local professionals and we look forward to another sold-out event in May 2024.

The conference was first held in 1999. Kerry Pollard, MP for St Albans from 1997 to 2005, had the idea of bringing together everyone involved in providing and managing affordable housing in Hertfordshire.

The aim was to discuss and debate how more homes could be built to meet the very high levels of housing need he was encountering in his constituency work.

The first conference was a great success and became an annual event attracting high-profile speakers, well supported by local providers and the regulator. A small group of member organisations coordinates the annual conference and other events.
